We are proud to have been a part of the remarkable journey that led to the Brookfield Place Sydney project being recognised at the 2023 Property Council of Australia’s Innovation and Excellence Awards.

Australia’s top property honour has been awarded to Brookfield Place Sydney, named the Rider Levett Bucknall Australian Development of the Year 2023 for its transformational mixed-use development combining heritage preservation with a rejuvenated transport hub, next-generation commercial and retail space.

A decade in the making, this project has been a labour of dedication, creativity, and innovation from its inception through planning, design, development, and operations.

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, it’s important to also acknowledge our fellow nominees. Their project journeys have been equally extraordinary, reflecting the immense talent and innovation present in the industry.

Brookfield Place Sydney is more than just a development; it’s a transformational mixed-use precinct that sets new standards. It seamlessly combines a world-class Premium Grade office tower, two heritage buildings, and one of the tallest retained heritage facades in the southern hemisphere. Not to mention the multiple levels of retail, all integrated into a major CBD transport hub. This project has breathed new life into a once-forgotten part of the city and significantly improved the arrival experience for hundreds of thousands of commuters to Wynyard Station.
