ENERGY SAVING INDUCED DRAFT COOLERS: NSFM SITE

We’re proud to share another exciting milestone for ECJV (Equilibrium and Climatech Joint Venture) at the new Sydney Fish Market (nSFM): The arrival of our Induced Draft Coolers.

After a long and rewarding journey, we’re thrilled to share the arrival of our custom-engineered IDC’s (Induced Draft Coolers) at the nSFM site.

These coolers are the culmination of a collaborative effort to replace CO2 cooling with a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly Brine Temper-40 solution.

This innovative switch not only reduces the carbon footprint of the new Sydney Fish Market but also promises significant energy cost savings for Infrastructure NSW (iNSW). Each IDC cooler has been meticulously designed in partnership with Bitzer to perfectly match the specific cooling needs of its assigned cool room or freezer, ensuring optimal fish freshness 24/7.

We’re especially proud of the unique challenges we overcame to make this happen, including:
– Implementing a detailed design and construct (D&C) approach
– Integrating stainless steel coils for efficient brine-to-air heat transfer
– Delivering a solution that aligns with the nSFM’s sustainability goals
